Changelog

New pages, features and improvements on Yo.directory, newest first.

Advertise page, self-serve Pro cancellation and new Terms

This update makes it clearer what you get and how it works before you pay, whether you're listing a tool or buying an ad.

  • A new Advertise page shows the sidebar slot and the newsletter sponsorship, with prices and what each one includes.
  • You can now cancel Pro any time from Billing in your dashboard. Pro stays until the end of the month you've paid for.
  • The plan comparison on the pricing page now fits on phones, with each feature on its own row.
  • Our Terms of service now cover listings, paid plans, ads and cancellation in plain language.
  • A new About page explains how tools get listed, how we rank them and how paid placements are marked.

Free listings go live faster

Getting a free listing on Yo.directory used to mean waiting in a queue. Most submissions no longer do.

  • Free submissions that pass our checks, including the link back to Yo.directory, can now go live right away. You get an email when your listing is up.
  • After you sign in to buy a paid plan, you go straight to checkout instead of back to the pricing page.

Pricing you can see first, a privacy policy and an easier-to-use site

A round of improvements to make Yo.directory easier to use and clearer about how it works.

  • The pricing page is now public, so you can compare plans before you sign in. You only sign in once you pick a plan.
  • A new Privacy policy explains what information we use and why.
  • Keyboard users can skip straight to the content, and the mobile menu works with screen readers.
  • Warning and label text has more contrast, so it's easier to read.

Yo.directory moves to a new site

Yo.directory moved to a new site. Listings, categories and upvotes came across with it. On the new site you can:

  • Search tools, categories and pages from anywhere on the site.
  • Report a listing that's wrong, or claim one for a tool you own.
  • Find tools that shut down on the Dead tools list, with alternatives on each one.
