What Yo.directory is

Yo.directory is a directory of software tools, directories and similar products. We describe, categorize, score and rank the tools we list. Scores, rankings and labels such as "dead tool" are our own assessment, and they change as the site and the tools change.

Your account

You sign in with a link we email to you, so anyone who can read that inbox can use your account. Keep your email account secure and tell us at info@yo.directory if you think someone else has used your account.

Submitting a listing

• Only submit or claim a tool you own or are authorized to represent.
• Keep what you submit accurate, including the website address, name, description and images.
• You let us show your tool's name, logo, screenshots, description and links on the site and in our emails. We may take screenshots of your website, and edit or rewrite listing text so it is clear and consistent.
• We review every submission and decide whether to list it, which categories it goes in, and where it appears. We don't list gambling, malware, scams or illegal services, and adult or NSFW tools can only be listed on a paid adult plan.
• We may edit, decline or remove a listing at any time, for example when it breaks these terms, the website stops working, or the tool is no longer available.

Free listings

A free listing needs a crawlable link to yo.directory on your tool's own website, kept in place for as long as the listing is live. We check the link regularly. If it's removed or can't be found, we may remove the listing.

Paid plans

Paid plans and their prices are described on the pricing page and confirmed at checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices can change, but a change never affects a payment you've already made.

• Basic is a one-time payment. It is not a subscription.
• Pro has a one-time setup fee, then a monthly charge that renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel Pro any time from Billing in your dashboard. Cancelling stops future charges, and Pro stays until the end of the month you've paid for. After that the listing stays published as a free listing, without the Pro and verified badges or the pinned placements.
• If a monthly payment can't be collected, we may end Pro without waiting for the end of the month.
• If a payment is reversed, for example through a chargeback, the paid features it bought are removed from the listing.

A paid plan buys the placements and features described for it, in the form the site shows them at the time. Where listings appear can change as the site changes. We don't guarantee traffic, clicks, sign-ups, sales, search rankings or any other result.

Advertising

Ads are described on the advertising page. A sidebar ad is a monthly subscription that renews until you cancel; when you cancel, the ad runs until the end of the month you've paid for. If a payment fails, we may pause the ad. A newsletter sponsorship is booked and paid for one issue at a time. We review every ad and may decline or remove one that breaks these terms or that we think is misleading, and we don't guarantee impressions, clicks or sales.

No refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. This covers Basic, Pro setup fees and monthly Pro charges, sidebar ads and newsletter sponsorships, and it also applies when a listing or ad is removed for breaking these terms. Cancelling a subscription stops future charges only.

Using the site

Please don't:

• scrape, bulk-download or republish the directory;
• send automated, fake or bulk submissions, upvotes, reports or messages;
• try to get around sign-in, security checks or rate limits, or interfere with how the site runs;
• pretend to own a tool you don't, or to be connected with Yo.directory when you aren't.

We may suspend accounts, listings or ads that do any of these things.

Content, trademarks and other websites

Tool names, logos, trademarks and listing content belong to their owners. A listing doesn't mean the tool's owner endorses Yo.directory, or that we endorse the tool. Listings link to websites we don't control, and you use them at your own risk. If you own a tool and want its listing corrected or removed, or you think a listing infringes your rights, email info@yo.directory.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what information we use and why.

Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be error-free or always online, or that listing information is complete or current. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
