About tool

Notion Backups helps you safeguard your Notion workspaces by automating backups on a consistent schedule—so you don’t have to rely on manual exports or fragile scripts.

Backups are organized in JSON and Markdown for portability, and you can back up the full structure of your workspace, including nested pages, databases, comments, and media files. Storage stays under your control: connect your preferred provider (Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, or SFTP) and manage the backups where they belong.

When you need to recover, restore your workspace to a specific point in time with a few clicks. You can also use Google Sheets Sync to keep Notion database data in Google Sheets with one-way or two-way syncing, depending on your plan.

What data can I back up from my Notion workspace?

You can back up pages (including child pages), databases, media files, and comments—covering the full workspace structure.

Where are my backups stored?

You choose the storage by connecting at least one provider: Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, or an SFTP server. The service doesn’t store your data on your behalf.

Can I restore to a previous point in time?

Yes. Restore your Notion workspace to a specific point in time with a few clicks, without having to track changes across many files.

What gets restored during a restore operation?

Restores include pages, databases, supported blocks, unresolved comments, and externally-hosted media files. A complete restore isn’t possible due to Notion API limitations.

Do I need to grant access to my workspace to enable restores?

By default, access uses read & write permissions. On the Pro plan, you can grant read-only access instead for restore scenarios back to the same place.

What is Google Sheets Sync?

Google Sheets Sync syncs your Notion databases to Google Sheets with support for one-way (Notion to Sheets) and two-way syncing. Sync frequency depends on your plan.
